Odds are good that it was some closet case who is having issues with his own identity. These types of things usually are.

Thats sad, people can't just ignore what they don't see is right, instead they have to go and do stuff like that.

It's a shame people do stuff like that. Don't they have anything better to do with their time? :(

The sad thing is the simple fact that if you actually visit the site, there is no real reason to dislike it. Kind of makes you wonder why you should go out of your way to defend people when they do things like this, doesn't it?

This is sad, but there are people out there. I'm personally glad they attacked the site instead of killing another homosexual. What a sick world we live in.

Personally, I don't like to be around gay men (long story about something that happened at Wal Mart). Being around a lesbian is fine though, or gay men that I've known for awhile. Even though I may not like being around a gay man, I don't hate them, and even if I did I would at least be mature about it instead of acting like a little kid and messing with gay sites, or even worse, killing gay people. Killing people alone is bad, killing someone for a stupid reason like this is even worse. I guess a hacked site is better than a lost life though :o

Don't you feel that it is unfair to judge an entire class of people based upon your experiences with one (or a few) of their members? I was once mugged by a black man, but I would never say that I don't like to be around black men because of it. I recognize that that individual was responsible for his actions, not every black man. It would seem to the casual observer, that whatever happened at the Wal-Mart is more of an attempt to justify your discomfort, than the actual cause of it.

I had just finished playing paintball about 2 miles from Wal Mart so I decided to stop at Wal Mart for a Gatorade or at least something to drink. The cashier happened to be gay (french tip nails, lipstick, eyeliner, earrings, etc.). I didn't think anything of it, at first. Then I noticed the guy was looking at me in a weird way. I followed where his eyes were looking at, he was staring right at my crotch. It was, um, very strange I guess you could say. After walking out of the store I realized why he was staing down there.....I hadn't taken my cup out yet. I guess he thought I was just happy to see him :p

Left me scared for life :(

If you read the whole post I said I don't have a problem being around gay men I've known for awhile. So no, I'm not afraid of all gay people like you are implying, just the ones that I've never met before. Now if someone I know and trust knows the gay person and they introduce me, I have no issues. It's only when I have to meet them on my own.

Less breeding on Earth, the better for the planet. I'm kinda asexual straight so i'm unbiased bout the situation, besides hackers have been attacking everything from government conspiracy sites to pr0n sites, especially those damned ol DOSz. It sucks but then you can learn how they done, whether it be repeated requests through proxies to multiple IPs. Learn to ban those IP ranges, makes your security tigher, kinda like punkbuster master bans, they work decently, for those who actually stream PB on their server, or using traffic flow monitoring to see who it's coming from, trace them down, pay them a visit, if you can get the info from their ISPs, but if you say your government official inquiring about under18 photos or something(get creative) sometimes you can get a phone number from the root IP, now you have an address. Why not go knock on someones door in person? I could just imagine all the lawlz i would have if i back traced some annoying bf2 hacking 8 year olds, drinking and cussing while their parents are doing hell knows what...

edit: i meant to say in the beginning most gays don't breed, therefor quality of life would be better on Earth with less people. Face it people there's waaaaaay too many people, for this size planet.

That just seems like far too benign of an experience to have frightened you or scarred you. I sincerely doubt that having a straight woman admire your package would have rendered you forever uncomfortable around any straight woman that you or your friends have never met before.

The truth is that we ALL have our prejudices (believe me, I have mine too.) Sometimes they are instilled in us by family, schoolmates, churches, past experiences, etc. Having prejudices doesn't make us bad people, as long as we are trying to overcome them. Of course, in order to overcome them; we have to first recognize them within ourselves.

I'm not trying to pick on you, honestly. Just calling it like I read it :)

If they know what their doing and use a botnet and do a DDoS attack there is no way to protect against it. Which is a rather large occurrence. And banning IP addresses typically only stops script kiddies as well as tracing. Its a waste of time if they know what their doing due to multiple proxies, RATs, and Onion Routing. Also IP address to phone number is impossible. Where in the world did you get that from?

Not totally impossible if you trace their IP back to the ISP and contact the ISP using social networking. :D Not saying that you could 100% get their information, but every connection is registered, and most hackers are gonna work off a home ISP. Just to inform you there are ISPs who have a few people with access to accounts management, and they keep a log of your IP to MAC, most the time anyways, due to government spying I would assume. I know a couple of guys that work in IT that wouldn't mind to help assist me in finding a client if it's local and on their networks. Or atleast get it within a specific region of nodes, since most ISP register user by MAC address it would be rather difficult to change MAC on them. I'm just saying that with the right skillz and some social engineering you might be able to localize where it's out of, well you can already back trace to to regions in the state, most the time.

No offense but you have absolutely no comprehension on hacking.

IP to MAC is because government spying? Its how networking works. As data is moved down from from the network to datalink layer the addressing scheme changes from IP to MAC before going to binary for physical transmission. And no, ISPs don't "register" based on MAC addresses, and a MAC address is the easiest to spoof. IPs are the most difficult because TCP connections are stateful connections, only way is for middle man attacks.

Yes it is possible to get information outta an ISP through social engineering, but there is much easier ways then going through the ISP. But IPs have nothing to do with phone numbers.

You need to stop talking to that script kiddie from down the river as they know nothing about networking.

I wouldnt say that..I have gay friends....shoot one of my cousins is gay...but I myself am uncomfortable not because of something that happened(yes a gay guy tried.....hard....to pick me up at wal mart...funny how everything happens at wal mart) but because until I know they wont try to "convert" me or force themselves on me. Same as with religion...some ppl try to force things on others. Other times its because they dont understand the lifestyle. So I wouldnt be too harsh on him for that...as sometimes bad things happen/or u just need to get to know the person

I felt completly fine around gay men before that though. That happened maybe 11 months ago at the most. All the years before that I had no problem going up to a gay guy and talking to them. I actually found that gay men are usually easier to get along with since they normally don't have ego problems. Then after that one guy at Wal-Mart did that everything changed. I guess maybe I'm still in shock over it or something because like you said, had it of been a woman I probably wouldn't be scared. I think it's time for some deep meditation
