We all have them, that game that you wasted a whole month playing....season playing....year....lifetime. Either way, what games have you played the most and how long do you think you've spent playing them. For me it'll have to be Diablo 2 LoD and Halo 2, putting in over 1,000 hours into both probably. That's love right there.

I never said it was a waste, I've had so much fun with those two, not to say I never played other games as I did, a lot. I forgot some of my more childhood games, I played a lot of goldeneye and mario kart 64 in elementary school, though it still doesn't compare to d2 and h2 for me. Silly shadowrun video game, play the pencil and paper game, far superior imo.

Halo 2 was what originally got me into multiplayer. I played it for well over a year probably. Then I got my 360 and never played it again. I played Perfect Dark Zero for months and months after I got my 360. Then came Gears of War. Now I'm on Shadowrun. I tend to stick to one game until something newer and better comes along. I play other games here and there, but tend to spend most of my gaming time on one game at a time.

4e comes out soon as well. Been playing D&D for about 7 years now. As far as video games go FF7 has absorbed the most of my time, followed by WoW (finally quit!), and then BF2142 (my current division).

Edit: Starcraft, too... though I'm unsure of how many hours I've sunk into it. SC2 will steal my soul, though.

Then i got into playing online on Live. Rainbow six 3(there has been no game to replace my love of Live, but i belive Call of Duty 4 will be the game) I played RBS3 for ever, until the crappy sequals came out and the Halo 2. Then i played Halo 2 forever on Live until i got my 360, and even then i still played a bunch, thats until.
Gears of War spent countless hours playing this game and having fun.
Now im just waiting for Call of Duty 4 to be the newest reason to get lost from the world for a long long time.

Am I the only one that played Pokemon until I was half-blind? I'll lump all the Pokemon games together and say they took up, oh, from 4th to 7th grade, then large chunks of time every year since then... =P

Beyond that, I've spent over 700 hours in WoW, a large bit of time playing BF2, and now, TF2 is eating my soul. =3

Old multiplayer games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros are among the top yet I would be sure to include games like Socom, Halo 2 and Oblivion.

In Socom alone I would not be surprised if I had over 2,500 hours played. I have about 1,500 matches played in Halo 2 and my Oblivion file is recording 240 hours as of now.

Batman Returns SNES... i have been playing that since it came out back in '93 (which is why i got nicknamed Dark Knight in real life). i still play it ( but now on comp though i still have the SNES game but no system). i already completed it on mania difficulty (again back in 93) but i still find it fun. i always get a rush when the Batmobile level starts and the sounds of the disc's start going off. though this month arkham asylum has been taking up the time but its a loong way from beating the 15 year playtime i got with Batman Returns.

I played FFXI for two years, nearly every day. Had about 3500 hours on it, and never had a max level class. I spent nearly all my time-- once my main was 40-- trying to learn the secrets of crafting. I only partied if I wanted a crafting material without paying for it in the auction house. I was convinced facing a certain direction during a certain time of day while using a certain crystal type would equal better results, and I had notebooks FILLED with statistical data SEARCHING for significant variance.

When I finally gave up on cracking the crafting-code, I cancelled my account. If I were a scientist attempting to prove a hypothesis in physics, it would've been time well spent. Now, I simply regret it.

I tried moving onto WoW, but my main toon was rich within 2 months and somehow the grind was amplified by that. It was so incredibly easy compared to FFXI that I hated it.

S'okay, though. I play RTS now.
