“Gold Locket”
I own a trinket,
It’s just a locket,
The only difference,
Is that it’s made of gold,
A heart shaped necklace,
A perfect friendship,
Untarnished feelings for a girl,
She is so perfect,
She is so delicate,
Untarnished heart for an untarnished girl,
Not-rusted heart,
I walked on memory lane
Down a one-way road,
With my perfect locket made out of gold,
And now I’m old,
My love is dead,
Church bells keep ringing inside my head,
I own a trinket,
It’s just a locket,
The only difference,
Is that it won’t grow old
It is forever, and I am not,
That’s why my heart is now in knots,
Can’t sort out the pain, from the pleasure
It’s too good for me, beyond measure,
I own a trinket,
It’s just a locket,
I’m only human,
And this untarnished locket,
Is her heart of gold,
And I’m not good enough to keep it.
I own a trinket,
It’s just a locket,
The only difference,
Is that it’s made of gold,
A heart shaped necklace,
A perfect friendship,
Untarnished feelings for a girl,
She is so perfect,
She is so delicate,
Untarnished heart for an untarnished girl,
Not-rusted heart,

Down a one-way road,
With my perfect locket made out of gold,
And now I’m old,

I own a trinket,

The only difference,
