Garden State and V for Vendetta are Teh Roxzors.

I dono if you read the comics (V for Vendetta) but if so how do you think they compared? I thought although the Wachowski's kinda changed the time line (in the comics V blows up Parliament at the begining) it was still very well done.

Freakin Amazing....I can't believe I just said that seeing as this movie stars Paul Walker.

It's an Indie film and if it ever showed in theaters it was a limited release.

Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker) is a low level mob flunkie who get told to dispose of a gun used for killing some dirty cops. Joey however, hides the gun in the drywall of his basement instead of tossing them in the river. When Joey's 10 year-old son (Alex Neuberger) and his best friend, Oleg (Cameron Bright), witness Joey hiding some guns from a botched drug deal, Oleg steals the gun -- a snub-nosed .38 -- and shoots his abusive stepfather (Karel Roden) with it. Things would be bad enough if the stepfather didn't happen to be the nephew of a psychotic Russian mob boss (John Noble)... who happens to be in business with Joey's crew on a gasoline scam. But now Joey's also got the surviving dirty cop (Chazz Palminteri) from the botched drug deal on his case... and that hot .38 out there on the street, changing hands in an underworld of freaks, pimps, hookers and pedophiles. As well as Oleg, who can connect Joey to the gun. And even if Joey can make it through the night, he's still got to answer to his wife (Vera Farmiga)...

I highly recomend at least renting this film.

"Boys Don't Cry" w/Hilary Swank starring in it. omg, if you want to see some of her best acting, i recommend this movie. i cried so much!!!! as long as you're not homophobic or anything, i think it's an awesome movie that makes you realize how messed up people are . .. what they'll do when they're afraid of the unordinary. lol, although that doesn't sound "awesome," it is thought-provoking. put it on your netflix queue!

That's a great movie.....our dvd's a single crap disc with bad artwork on the cover
but i inported the 3 disc set from canada (also regon 1) which is night/day better.

Highly recomended......most like a middle ages matrix (fights) movie.

The Hills Have Eyes...I never watched the original to be able to compare it to the remake, but it was an ok movie.

I'm not into gratuitous violence and gore, unless it's helps the story in some way. And believe it or not it can be done tastefully, and I admire the directors who can do it in such a way that it doesn't leave you disgusted but feeling sorry for the characters or at least some sort of emotion for their suffering. And I just love realistic make-up FX's too, they did a good job with the mutants I think.

I also enjoyed the physical and emotional character arch of one of the main characters. Completely unexpected.

That would do it. But the more I think about it, it did have some pretty awesome moments. The part on the rooftop where she dodges the bullets (no, this ISNT the Matrix) was pretty awesome, esp. the way it was shot.

The fight scenes were definately the best part of the movie. While over the top (fine by me), there were some original ones in there. That rooftop scene you mentioned was one of my favorite fight scenes from the movie because of the reason you mentioned. I loved how they showed the shooting from first person every so often in that scene. The one at the very end with them sword fighting in the dark with their swords on fire was probably my favorite.

I just watched "John Tucker Must Die".
Very humorous, with a few moments that left me goin, "Aww! cmon, don't let that happen >_<" or, "Ew~! you gotta be kidding, lol"..but the ending was sweet and fitting..Definately a good movie, even if it is a "chick flick", lol.

The last movie I saw in the theater is Casino Royale on its opening night. I was hesitant to see it since I'm not a big fan of 007 movies, but my boyfriend was all for it because he's into James Bond flicks. So, I had to see it.

Surprisingly, it was much better than I thought and I really enjoyed it. My favorite scene was in the beginning with one of the professional free-runners! I don't wanna ruin it, so I'll keep the details to myself. I would recommend this movie to anyone - because it's a really good action packed adventure!
