So what is the scarriest movie you've ever seen?
For me it was Ju-On. Its the movie that The Grudge was a remake from, its in Japanese, and when I watched it, I started crying I was so freaked out... Damn, im 18 years old, and this movie freaked the hell outa me.
But after all of my friends lauged at me when I told them, I made them watch it, and all I can say is Muah ha ha ha ha. The day after we watched, we were at school and my friend comes up to me and says "damn it, i keep seeing that little kid running around, WHY THE HELL DID YOU MAKE ME WATCH THAT."
Anyways, what is the scarriest movie you've ever seen?

The originals are usually so much better.
Let's see no too many movies scare me know, they usually have to be really psychological to get to me, gory doesn't really do it for me anymore.
Well, when I was younger Jacobs Ladder freaked me out, so did Hell Raiser: Hell on Earth, which was actually the first Hell Raiser I saw in the series. Of course Freddy scared me to know end when I was little too. I was older by the time I saw Silence of the Lambs and I couldn't help but think that there could be a cannibal waiting on every corner.
Hehe, I was waiting for someone to make this thread. I love scary movies.
Gory movies make me giggle.....I guess video games will do that to ya.

Arachnophobia (sp?) was the movie that scarred me for life. Why I would watch it when I was five, I don't know. But I'm incredibly stupid, so that's a good excuse.
Ugh. I would never watch that movie, I have the title. Frikkin spiders creep me the eff out. again, ugh.

Apparently a no-thrill ride. Much like the ET ride at Universal Studios...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre freaked me out because its based on a true story...
I dont think I'll ever drive to Austin again. Just thinking about it too much gets me scared enough to turn all the lights on.

Ok, this is ridiculous I know but when I was about 7 I watched the first Gremlins movie and could not sleep for a month. I swear I always thought they'd be like waiting under my bed or in my closet or any of the other cliche monster hiding places. That's really the only movie I remember scaring me, these days they bring high-end CG and visual effects but they just don't seem to do the trick. I still like watching scary movies though. There's never been a more fool-proof way to trick a girl into getting close to you.:)

Rose Red, if you can endure like 4 hours of movie by Stephen King then you should be in for a ride. Though I saw it when I was like 12 and man that messed with my head.
When I was reallly young I saw Tommyknockers and that scared me for sometime.
The Sixth Sense scared me, but when I watched it a couple weeks ago it's not so bad.
There are some parts in other movies that made me jump, like in Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later.
Goriest move I've seen would probably be High Tension, it's an indie foreign film... it's messed up and creepy.
There hasn't really been a GREAT horror movie for a while.
Oh! I saw the exorcism of emily rose in theatres and holy FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny, it probably wouldn't be that scary if you watched it at home, but when it's cranked up to like 200 dB, then everything made me jump. Like slamming doors...ooOOOOH big metal doors gonna get me. But there were some freaky parts in that movie.
Most horror indie films are very scary, because they seem to have more imagination or something.
Oh and final thing, psychological horror's are usually way scarier than others since the anticipation kills you! I want to make a horror, but I don't know where to start.... :(

I remember that I was surprised with Event Horizon (1997) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119081/), with a plot so cheesy (a spaceship opens a portal to hell, etc.) I would thought that it would be an awful movie, yet it proved to be rather scary.

The hellraiser movies are good classics, pinhead is a legend. :)
Event horizon was scary big parts of the movie, Sam O Niell is a great actor, also in the original Omen movies.
A movie that did not scare me AT ALL when i saw it, was Blair Witch Project !. But the morning after me and my buddy looked at each other and it hit us how frickin horrible the end was, with that guy facing the corner you know, in the deserted house. We were creeped out the rest of the day..lol

A list:
Rose Red
Child's Play
The Exorcist
The Ring (or Ringu in japanese)
Resident Evil (me no likey zombies, I blame the game, the movie reinforced that belief)
George A. Romero zombie movies, damn.
Aliens
House of 1000 Corpses
Silence of the Lambs
One Hour Photo (freaky, Robin Williams plays a good psycho)
and pretty much anything you'd describe as "some straight up David Copperfield s***"

theres really no scary movies out there, there more just dead teenager movies with just a bunch of gore and well dead teenagers, dont get me wrong the cool to watch but i think the movie industry is having a hard time actually making new movies that will really scare you, but for me i hav no clue why but i was afraid to go in the bathroom for a couple days just because of that one part in 13 Ghosts, but now i dont mind
