connection problems with xbox live

[H2O Swift]

starting today, for some reason when i sign into my profile, it signs into xbox live, then about 10-20 seconds later disconnects. if i sign in again the connection only lasts a few seconds before disconneting. this be one of the two problems i have just posted up, other one relating to NAT setiings, which i've posted up seperatly. so can anyone help?

Sort out your NAT problems, it might fix the problem..

since u said ur box and pc are on a splitter of sorts....the computer and xbox are probably fighting over IP addresses

What kind of router do you have? Please provide as much information as possible.
