I play it often but not as much as Halo2. I think I'm a staff sergent but that's nothing compared to most people. The only thing about that game is that even though someone is a high rank on there it doesn't mean anything. The ranking structure is basically very easy to understand and obtain high ranks as long as you play the game.

yeah you can be an elite and like suck..... terribly.
It only takes time to go up ranks.

Yeah I have gone against elites in that game and be so much better than them and I find it pretty funny. I think it also depends and if your comfortable with the gun you use. I think everyone has a certain niche for a certain gun or type of gun. With me I like to use any of the light machine guns and I will pretty good but others seem to not really be too good with it considering the fact that it's not as strong as the Assault Rifles or have a bigger clip or magazine like the Machine guns.

I use an assault rifle. the M8. I used to use subs but I stopped. I'm pretty good at vegas too. sooo its all good. xD

I use the Mp5n a lot and I have a habit of attaching the silencer on it even though there isn't much of a difference to the gun except the sound and believe it or not I feel better with it on than off and it helps with my gaming. I know it sounds weird but it's the truth. ^^

dude yeah i think when attaching the silencer, it makes it where that red little dot on the radar isnt visible. well at least yours isnt. idk. I could be wrong.

I think the only time that you wont be sensed on the radar is when your crouching or not moving to be honest but I think your right when it comes to shooting. When you shoot I think you become visible on the radar even if your not moving or crouching and also it wont give you away when it comes to your opponent hearing the gun fire meaning that if two guys are near you and you kill one without the other guy seeing him killed he can still hear you fire but with the silencer attachment on then there is that least chance of him hearing you kill his teamates.

oh..... lol i was wrong. again. I know im right about the whole shooting and them seeing you on the radar. Thats really how I get all my kills. I just keep my eyes on the radar. Doesnt silencer decrease the amount of damage?

From a distance the silencerr does have a weaker affect when attached but I feel that your more accurate when it's equipped when dealing with close combat.
