I received this email last week and just found out today that I will get to be a part of this research that they are doing.

The Air Force Research Laboratory is currently recruiting subjects for a research study that is designed to assess performance of video game players and pilots on a set of computer based tasks including a landing simulation. This study will include a total of four tasks. The purpose is to compare performance on each task between the video game player group and the pilot experienced group. Each subject in the pilot group should have prior flight experience. To qualify as a video game player, a minimum of 3-4 days a week (for at least on hour per session) of action video game play for the past 6 months is required. All procedures will take place in the static environment (no motion base), hence risks will be reduced to possible nausea and/or headache with the added possibility of slight neck strain. The time requirement for is anticipated to be a maximum of 3 visits of approximately 3 hours each. If you decide to volunteer to participate, you may withdraw from the study at any time.

I will let you know how this turns out and tell you just how bad I destroy these pilots.

Yeah, the stats for what constitutes a gamer is pretty sad considering I play about 4 hours a day, plus I work full time, go to school part time and train in mma. Those pilots have nothing to offer me! I will make them wish they were as good me! :D

I need to get in on this. It'd make my year if I could beat out a Pilot at his job...
