You need to get them if you want to play matchmaking.... Unless you only play Hardcore and Double Team.
In my opinion, I wouldn't have spent $4 on them if I didn't play the other play lists.

if all you have for xbox live is halo2 and no 360. then yes. but if you have a 360 and have crackdown with the halo 3 beta. then no.

Yes, it's worth it. But if you don't plan to play very much, they're supposed to be free for download in early-july.
