The new keyboard add-on doesn't look like it will have any practical use other than for the MSN messaging thing they are adding in, but if they would weave it into some games it could be good.
I'd like to see them either get rid of the Video Marketplace for everyone that doesn't actually get to use it or to finally get some 'foreign' licenses to put videos up. Also, a 'new to me' thing on the marketplace. I'm sure they announced it on one of the old updates but never put it in.

You know, it may seem that way, but I've had one for a couple weeks now, and I wouldn't want to go without it. Often I'll be playing games SP and not have my headset handy, and end up needing to respond to a message from someone - it's easier to type it out than get up and go over and get the headset.
If I were to have to return it, I'd definitely be running out to get one when they're released.

My favorite features are the name of the achievement being shown when you earn one, the indicator on your friends list showing you when a friend is joinable, and the new marketplace blade.

I was thinking about that a few days before they released the video, always one step ahead =P
Aren't the keys on the keyboard a little too small? I can manage fairly well with just regular controller typing, and it wouldn't get any use with the MSN thing so unless it is lightning fast it would be a dust collector. Messes with the shape too.

It's a heck of a lot faster than using the controller and the on-screen keyboard, though not quite as fast as a real keyboard. Sure, the keys would be a bit easier to use if they were bigger, but then the whole thing wouldn't fit on to the controller as nicely as it does - and they're quite usable as is.

is it hard or different to hold with the keyboard attached?

It's not that different. You do notice it, but it doesn't really get in the way. I guess it's a combination of how exactly you hold the controller and the size of your hands. Someone with large hands might be bothered more by the presence, and someone with smaller hands may not notice it much at all. For me, it's very minor, and I have no problems leaving it on all the time.

hehe that's all nice and all, but why don't they focus on lowering DLC content prices? I'm sure everyone would appreciate that a little more than being able to add MSN contacts on your Xbox.
I remember watching GDC videos with J Allard going on about how gamers would be able to download stuff off the marketplace like maps and weapons for just a couple cents. What ever happened to that idea?
Unless I missed something and "a couple cents" means 4$.

especially since i will be paying for all my Downloaded content once i get my 360.

Apples and oranges.
I don't see how it's like apples and oranges.
They're adding all this stuff. They can lower the prices while they're messing around in there.
Or am I the only one that thinks it's outrageous that they charge this kind of money to continue playing games we've already paid for (some would say "overpaid" but I won't get into that now)? You pay 50$ for a game, and unless you shell out another 4$+ every time a new map comes along. If you don't, it essentially becomes a 50$ paper weight since in most games you can't play in servers that have the DLC if you don't (even if it's not the map that's being played).
What makes things worse is that I'm sure there are plenty of instances where stuff was intended to be free, but M$ didn't allow it (Epic comes to mind).
Microsoft Forces Epic to Charge for content (http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/09/microsoft-forcing-fees-marketplace-phil-101-with-epic-and-microsoft/)
Now before I get the "servers and bandwidth isn't free" or the "Microsoft is a business after all" arguments, isn't that what we pay a subscription fee to Xbox Live for (~50$ a year)?

Because all of the people on the team that are doing programming and testing and the like for the dashboard updates aren't the same people that deal with the DLC pricing and the like. The work and the decisions are made by entirely different people, and it sounded to me like your message was implying that we should focus on the DLC pricing instead of doing dashboard updates. I do UI testing and test automation - there's absolutely nothing beneficial I could provide toward DLC issues, since those aren't technical.
If you don't think DLC prices are fair, the best thing you can do is not pay those prices. We're the first ones to try this whole thing, so it's uncharted territory. Everyone's learning what prices are appropriate, thus issues like Oblivion's Horse Armor, which caused outrage due to pricing - appropriately - and everyone's learned from it.

we use it in games too, like FFXI and phantasy star universe, we need to type most of the time cause its a MMORPG

Discovery sponsored the Gears of War maps, so Microsoft still got paid for them just not for every download (these are the old new maps by the way). I don't really mind download prices because I haven't really bought that many things beside arcade games. The themes and gamerpics aren't usually worth paying for and I'm definately not paying for videos when they usually come out for free on the internet before they go up on the marketplace.
The stuff you do download shouldn't affect the online play unless it involves maps you don't have, that I agree with. If you are already paying for the privalege to play online with other people, you shouldn't have to pay more because you don't want some more content but want to play against people.
I'm not liking the new marketplace for videos, to many menus to find out it is all old stuff. Snazzy icons though =P
Do you not use a USB keyboard on FFXI? That way you can use hotkeys.

Right now it's like this:
I buy a game for ~50$ of my hard earned money.
Play online.
~ a month later they decide to release more content.
Yay!
M$ decides they want them to charge for it.
I have two options:
Feed the greedy M$ beast and pay for the content.
Don't pay for the content and seriously limit the playability of the game since I'm cut off from playing with anyone that has the content.
My 50$ game turns into nothing more than an overpriced paper weight, or a trade in.
I could understand charging us these prices if there was no subscription fee. There IS a subscription fee though. Why are we continuously being milked for more cash?
I guess I'm the only one that sees something wrong in having us pay a 50$ subscription fee, then about 50$ per game, and then have the game pretty much useless a month later because they want to release more content and charge us another 4$ a pop.
Seriously, when does it end? How much is enough payment to be able to play a game without Microsoft trying to stick their hands in our pocket (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ07TWPdxkE) for even more money? I understand it's a capitalist world, but there's got to be a limit!

EDIT: Got it to work. You can't seem to be able to add people from your 360 though. You have to log on on your computer to add people. Unless there's something I'm not seeing.

Yep, you currently can't add contacts from the 360. You have to do it on the PC. But you can accept other peoples' contact requests on the 360.
