If I remember correctly, the old forums had this. Other forums have it, and it's very handy. What I'm talking about is an "add quote" buttom.
Example:
You're reading though a thread and want to reply to what several people have said. Now, you have three options:
Option 1:
Create multiple posts replying to each person.
Problem: You look like a spammer/Forum noob.
Option 2:
Open multiple windows/tabs and visit the same thread in each one. Create a post quoting each person and copy and paste everything over to your main post.
Problem: Time consuming, creates clutter and confusion.
Option 3:
Edit your existing post with new quotes you copied from canceled new posts.
Problem: Time consuming. You might get a response before finishing what you had to say. You risk having the ugly "post edited by:" label.
Solution (don't know if it would be possible):
Add quote button. While reading through a thread you click the button and it lights up or somehow changed (adding a plus sign or something). When you click on reply, all the posts you clicked "add quote" on are conveniently all quotes and ready for you to write your post around all in one go.
