Skywalker, Vinx is working SOTW and he'll be able to answer any questions you have about that. But you already knew that.
Fusion, we can't upload any new smilies or pretty much do anything with them since we're working on other areas of the site that could conflict with that.
In essence, stuff will break!:)

There are a couple of features that sorta annoys me right now - the censorship feature. Do we really need this? People probably wont run around posting obscene things just because this isn't here. It also censors URLs, I tried to post a picture, but it was censored.

Another thing is the 10 characers minimum length on posts, which messes up a couple of the spam thread (oh noes! ;)), not a biggie but can be annoying sometimes.
Other than that, excellent work with the new boards.
min char per post can be changed, although i personally like forcing people to write a few words ;-)
Word censors can be removed and or modified, not sure exactly what the ladies want to do with that type of thing. You can always take the images and simply save / re-upload if need be i guess, but for URLs and stuff it can be a bit tricky.

LoL, I told Cella I like "I love PMS" then Funny Bunny so much better. I'll take a look at it again.
However, trust us, we've had some nasty people like the last nitwit who went to the old forums saying the nastiest things. So it does happen. The censors option is a little weird here to, or at least different from what we're use to, so give us time to play with that too.
I already changed the min characters to 4 so people just don't post LOL, you're gonna need to try harder...like LOLs or something:rolleyes:

The censors option is a little weird here to, or at least different from what we're use to, so give us time to play with that too.I think you atleast should try and narrow down the list of words that you censor, and I doubt that people would start cussing like crazy just because they could.
And if people werent going to be cencored, just give out warnings and/or simply ban those who abuse their freedom.

There really are not that many words that have been censored, just 10 pretty bad ones that shouldn't be anywhere on the board in the first place. I can see how the kitten one should be changed which I fixed that, to an extent.

can you make the icon/personal photo size limit bigger? i cant get my picture in which is small and i see other people who have huge pictures.. why? mine is smaller:( so yea thats my ''complaint''
A lot of it will depend on the type of image you have. For example if you're using a .bmp than those are pretty huge and its unlikely you'll be able to use it. Make it a .jpg :-)
As for the badword filters gansterpanda, you'd be amazed how many times there are people who just come in and flip out and start cursing all over. Even after we just restarted on these forums remember that kid who was addicted to starcraft?

I don't really think people pay much attention to these users, but it's good that they are FunnyBunnied so mods wont have to go around and deleting their posts like crazy.
Censoring the most profane ones is a good thing, but I'm not sure that the a-word needs to be censored, as it's pretty mild (imho, of couse).

Start using imageready (should come with your PS), you can bump down the size without degrading the look.

@corporate: How big (both pixels and kb) is the avatar you're trying to upload? You're limited to 100x100px / 19.5KB for avatars and 600x600 / 64KB for profile picture.

i agree.
it's a lil more innapropriate to have this: FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny then the actual word in my opinion. having sooo many words for one word, is making a huge deal out of really nothing. it should just be funnybunny like it used to be.

Not setting anything for your GT (in profile) should do it. I just tried it and it took mine off.
(Top left tool bar) User CP, Profile Edit, then scroll down to the XBL gamertag.
It is coded in so that if you have a blank field nothing will show. Masakuni is correct. If you want to not view anybody's gamertags underneath their avatar, then what buddy described would be the way to go about that, it will disable it entirely. Since I don't see any under yours, i assume you got it, just wanted to make the clarification between what the two above me posted. :)

Its called your forum rights. You have to post in the forums rights section. which i believe is under the "anything goes" thread. So post there and you wil eventually get your rights.

if you bought it at store chances of getting retreiving a key is slim to none. Bought it online usually the place you have bought it at usually stores it for you in case you forget it. But all depends on the game which game is it?

so, i've been trying and trying to download the crackdown, graw 2, and nba street demos. none will download!! when i called xbox support, they said that i have to call verizon or linksys to open these three ports (UDP88, UDP3074, and TCP3074). can i do it myself on my routers isp page? or is it something that verizon or linksys has to do from their end?
anyone else having this problem? (and yes, i do have enough room to hold the demos)
Yes you can do those yourself on your router, however depending on the model of your router you'd have to open them in different ways, which is why they suggest you call verizon for help on your specific router. :)
everytime I put my sig rotator in my sig space, it's always half the size of what all the sigs are. I don't know how to fix it.

Anyways since i'm such a nice guy i fixed it. Registered Members should now be able to post in the H2O PS2 area. Even though H2O PS2 really dosent exist anymore. The whole PS2 division for PMS and H2O is a mess.

I've had to shrink my pics to get them on here, when even at their original size they are much smaller than many of the sigs I have seen. Do different people have different sig pic size allowances? Can my size be increased?

I did tweak some settings with signature uploading where the file size limit was resizing to super low. How about trying to reupload it?

Ok Heres my issue with my 360. EVERY TIME i switch games it will ask me to update. I could go play Rock Band, Update it, Play it, go play gears of war, update it then go back to rock band and Re-Update it.

Go into your internet options and clear out your cookies and history, restart your computer and try it again :) that should work for you.

I assume that you have restarted your computer
I assume that you have uninstalled vent and reinstalled the newest version
If you have done all of that, try opening the port for ventrillo, see is that helps.
has this ever worked on your computer before?
are you using wireless? a lot of times VoIP is REALLY bad on wireless depending on what stun server it is using.
If you needed help opening up any ports let me know and I can walk you through that.

I see that people have their gamercards on the top right hand side of the posts across from the avatar. I feel like I have gone through all of my options and I have no idea how to get it up there so I can remove it from my signature.

ok here is an example you need this type of link with the img thing which u probably already know.

put that in the sig area (edit sig blah blah you know haha).
then just hit submit i know when i hit preview once it didn't show. then if u go to previous posts to see if it shows up it wont, just make a new post/reply some where else and see if it shows up.
but if u just use the coding around the link like i have it should work.

There's no need to make a new post, you can just revisit any post you made before-hand and your signature should appear there.

I guess I should post my problems here. I am still having trouble with my login information for the SC2 auto uploader to register my practice hours. I'm not quite sure who to contact or what else to try. I was told my username and password are the same as ventrillo. I've tried all variations and can't seem to get logged in. Can someone please help?
