Aside from smash brothers, there isn't a SINGLE game for the Gamecube that keeps us coming back. It's insane how many crap titles have been released. I don't see the amazingness in the kiddy games. The funny thing is the games are geared towards kids, and kids don't purchase games. Gamecube = letdown. I think everyone agrees. I have higher hopes for the wii, because I don't want to waste my money on another useless system.

I'm sure you all agree with me, and if not I'd like to hear why.

i dont agree. I think just about all of the Mario games are great as long as you play multiplayer. I play Mario Strikers, Mario Kart Double Dash, Smash Brothers, Mario Party 4, and Mario Tennis. All fun and addicting games when played multiplayer.

RE 4 kept me coming back, also the Metroid games were all great but I do agree the GC was weak at best. I think the Wii will be different tho, developers are jumping on board especially since the development costs for it are much lower than the 360 or PS3. I picked one, havent played it much but...my 5 year old daughter has a blast with Wario Ware!

The GameCube was a great system. MarioKart, Resident Evil, Metroid and Windwaker were great titles. I also enjoyed the GameCube version of Soul Calibur. I will say that it wasn't my favorite system but it was still worth getting.

You did notice this topic is three months old, right?

so my thing about the gamecube is it is great for the kids. my son is four and loves to play video games already! i would totally let him play my 360 but not with the high cost of the system, games and accessories and also not many kiddy games are on the 360. so i believe that the gamecube is a great system for those with kids! not only are the games awesome and perfect for thier little hands, it is also a durable system. had mine since it came out and now my son uses it and we move alot.

This is where the big issue with nintendo comes into play, with the exception of re4, nearly ever game mentioned has been first party. Their third party support tends to be pathetic games based on cartoons and such. Nintendo makes great games but their platforms are all and all weak because outside of the first party games, little is worth playing.
