View Full Version : Does anyone have DirecTV? HELP!

I dont know if it's just me but I think my service is down. I dont get a "Searching for signal..." it just has the stupid logo screensaver on every channel I turn to. I can still get the info and guides but just no picture. I must watch the Brazil vs. Ghana game!!! If anyone can help pleaaaassseee! heh

never had that problem for every channel before... only for a solo channel and it has come back within minutes just had to change the channel and then flip it back in a couple... uhmmm... call directTV?

Before working for bingle, I worked at RadioShack and we sold (and often troubleshot) this stuff. Typically you'll get an error signal like that if the connection between the satellite and the box was broken at some point. Check as much of it as you can and then give DirecTV a call to see if it's on their end, though that's not very likely. Either way, they should be able to narrow down the possible problems. Until then, you might be able to see the game at a sports bar, of sorts.

Hmm call them, it might be down for you. I get their logo only when i dont get that channel.

yeah, its best to call DirectTv, only time i ever had such a prob was when mysteriously my dish wasn't facing the right direction

I always have a problem when it's pretty cloudy, which around this time of season is all the time in Orlando.

Yeah, that's how I usually fix most of my problems. I don't know how it works...but I just tell myself it's genius and move on.

Well i guess I reset something because I had to fill out a bunch of stuff on the screen and then the playbo.... I mean ESPN worked.

Yes, satellite tv is the way to go. Everyone who has cable should swtich for sure!

Always hit the reset button!! My DVR went out over the weekend, I called them, and after two hours of elevator music... "Open the flap and hit the reset button"
