View Full Version : Who had a defect 360??
ok who had a defect 360??
when did it happend??
How fast did you get it back??
And how many were defect??
Well here is my story.
Once my 360 was defect, all the time it runs stuck.
so I called MS and they said that I get a new one, so I was very happy about that.
I only needed to send my 360 back to stuttgart or something with UPS.
And then I will get a new one.
It was about 3 or 4 days to get me a new one and that was really fast.
I was really happy with my new 360 lol.

Was my own fault, room was hot, and the console was standing right next to PC without it's casing on. Did a reboot of the console, and it was working just fine. Mine have been running strong since 2nd of Dec 05 :)
@gansterpanda
well then you are lucky.
And mine was also showing red lights but after it runs stuck.
But it were not 2 lights mine had 3 red lights haha lol:p

Mine still works...so far. I got it in January or February I think. It overheats now and then, but that's because I play it for like 10 hours straight sometimes. It freezes the most when I play Oblivion, but I guess that's to be expected since it has so much to load and process when you're playing it.
hahaha lol
And the picture is good i think. Mine cellphone doesn't have a camera

Of all the gaming consoles I own, the 360 puts off the most heat.

I got my 360 on launch. It worked for about 2 weeks or so, until one day it froze up. After that it wouldn't stop doing it, so we called MS and sent it back. They paid shipping both ways and we got it back in about a week. No problems since. :)

I've noticed the red light goes off if the 360 end of the tv cables isn't in properly, so check the back.

I just got mine at the beginning of the month and it freezes on me when I play Halo 2 campaign. Sue me... I was bored.... but it seems really odd that a frickin brand new system would do that. (I mean when I bought it, not when it came out)
And when I kept on moving my 360 to my friend's house and back, the full red light would come up. >.< Microsoft made a piece of crap. I still have it though... :(

I also did the campaign for Halo 2 on my 360 and it froze a couple of times and I had to play the level over... :(
Also when I play the campaign, many times the shadows of buildings or the basic shape/outline of a building or object seems to get "burned into" the screen, and that shadow remains there throughout the current level and sometimes into the levels after that. Currently, the only way I can fix it is when I restart the 360 and resume the level. NO, I do not own a plasma TV, but I do have a set of AV inputs on my TV that allow for HD quality viewing eventhough it's not an HDTV. I have not tried switching the AV cables (back to regular input) or the switch setting for HD (on the AV cable for the 360) output back to normal yet. I may have to experiment around to see what exactly might be causing this, which will involve various combinations of settings and many hours of play time. I could also try playing the original Halo to see if this same problem happens.
I just want to play Halo 2 and my other games as pretty as possible...so I guess in order to do that I need to buy the real deal, an actual HDTV. Too bad I'm poor after buying the 360 itself... :(
