I love fighting games.
I love DOA.
I do not love this preview.

:(

At least it isn't being done by Uwe Boll. At least there is some hope left.

Trust me on this one, you do not want to see DOA: The Movie. I've seen it, the acting is horrible, the script even worse and overall it will make you want to stab yourself with something sharp, just to forget the pain.

If you like the DOA games, avoid the movie.

Can't be any different than the Mortal Kombat movies. I agree though it looks as bad as the Bloodrayne movie was.

I don't know why they keep trying to make all these Live Action video game movies. They should make them CGI like the Final Fantansy: Spirits Within movie.

Not to mention a 30 year old Jaime Pressly playing what's supposed to be a 22 year old character is wrong. Don't get me wrong, she's beautiful and all, but doesn't look anywhere near 22. I think she just looks too old to play the part.

The should have made it CGI with the english voice actors they used for Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2, and the Japanese voice actors they usually use to play the characters.

The Mortal Kombat movies weren't terrible though. They used the actual Mortal Kombat world and made a story out of it. Judging by that preview, that is obviously not what Dead or Alive is.

Not to mention, in Mortal Kombat, you never saw the UI and the healthbars and the it never said "FINISH HIM!!!" in the movie. Watch the DOA trailer and you'll see all that crap.. they're just trying to make a live action version of the game, which makes it corny.

on the other hand the DOA by japanese director Tagashi Miike is intense. ICHI the Killer is another good one by him

I saw it once in the trailer, but it was when they were looking on some monitor.

I just don't think the cast fits with the character's they are trying to portray.

Spirits Within was an awesome movie. Sure it wasn't about the games, but when you look past that it's an amazing movie in it's own right.

Fatal, what difference does it make, you're emo, wether you watch the movie or not you'd probably still want to kill yourself. The Spirits Within was pretty entertaining despite the unoriginal script, I still liked it though... plus you guys need to take my advice and check out the DOA by Takashi Miike or the film ICHI the killer, or if you want to just get freaked the eff out check out Imprint by Miike
