I would run a viris scan or just a simple add removal, what does it change your homepage to?

ok good, I was going to say if its changing your homepage to something completly random that might be some major spyware.

Yes I agree it would be a big spyware in your browser, you might wanna check out "Ad-AwareSE" I heard its a good spyware remover.

oh and as far as firefox goes... make sure there arn't upates for sequrity that you need to get... the firefox bookmarks that you start with are still there right?... go to them and look for updates that might help.... or try uninstalling and then reinstalling the program....

Best to just try Microsoft's Windows Defender beta 2,
Which Windows Defender (Beta 2) is a free program that helps you stay productive by protecting your computer against pop-ups, slow performance and security threats caused by spyware and other potentially unwanted software. It also automatically updates itself and microsoft's program has been given 2 thumbs up from several companies' reviews.

If problems still continue for you I suggest you unistall the firefox and reinstall it.
