The following games are CGS qualifiers... PC events: Counter-Strike: Source, FIFA 07 and Xbox 360 events: Dead or Alive 4 and Project Gotham Racing 3.

If you haven't already, register and pay in full ASAP to reserve your spot in this historic event! The BYOC and tournaments are almost full! Entry for CGS qualifiers is $5 for a day pass or $10 for the weekend and the CGS qualifying tournaments are free to all attendees. For those that have already registered for tournaments only, you will receive automated refunds by Monday, March 12th.

Tournaments
Counter-Strike: Source - Saturday and Sunday (prizes awarded to the top three players in each tournament)
FIFA Soccer 07 - One tournament on Saturday and one tournament on Sunday (prizes awarded to the top player in each tournament)
Dead or Alive 4 - Two tournaments on Saturday and two tournaments on Sunday (prizes awarded to the top two players in each tournament)
Project Gotham Racing 3 - Two tournaments on Saturday and one tournament on Sunday (prizes awarded to the top two players in each tournament)

Prizing (per Tournament)
1st: Auto-berth entry in the CGS 2007 National Qualifier; $350 stipend for transportation costs; hotel lodging will be provided for competitor.
2nd: Auto-berth entry in the CGS 2007 National Qualifier; $250 stipend for transportation costs; hotel lodging will be provided for competitor.
3rd: Auto-berth entry in the CGS 2007 National Qualifier; hotel lodging will be provided for competitor.

Finally some news on PGR3 and CGS! I'd like to go to this one and finally meeting some of you guys. Any chance of starting a PGR3 division, I'd like to contribute if possible. Athenatwin, Rip, anyone? Any suggestions?

I've searched and searched but could not come up with anything regarding the PGR3 "online" qualifiers. The only thing pertaining to PGR3 and CGS was found here regarding the LAN2007 event. Please share if anyone else knows anything.

Furthermore, there's no PGR3 division here, none in PMS, none in H2O. I'm wondering... since PGR3 is one of the games featured in Direct TV's Championship Gaming Series (CGS), if there will be an increased interest in PGR3. If so, I think it may be a good idea to form a PGR3 division to organize practice sessions and such. I've been tossing this idea around with KasumiChan, but we just never got around to it. But now that there is a tournament coming up at the end of March, I think we should hunker down and start doing something. I can volunteer my time to help contribute and organize the division. Who's with me?

As for the online qualifiers, Twin is refering to Championship Gaming Series, the Direct TV tournament events. That would be through here (http://arena.gamespy.com/arenaportal/cgs/registration.aspx). Note, this is totally unrelated to the march 30th lan that is the topic of this thread :-)

They only allow you to enter one tournament, and it's $25 to enter a tourney. If you are interested in the BYOC as well they combo the two for $50 (a $15 savings).

I think Disney has a shuttle that is cheaper to Disneyland area near Downtown Disney well it used to lol I haven't ridden it in a while but it has a really cheap round trip rate Rip!
And the hotel has a shuttle to the Disney area and back :)

Whoa if you are twenty minutes from Anaheim I don't want to ride in your car cause last time I drove from lake forest to that area it took me an hour lol traffic is crazy. Not as bad as LA but crazy. Well being a weekend it shouldn't be too bad. See you at the venue! :)
