Harpy PMS: Joining me now is PMS Sissy! Sissy, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
PMS Sissy: Hello Harpy! Well, I'm 28 years young, I'm originally from Northern Virginia but presently live right outside the "reason why i'm so freakishly pale" city of Seattle. Home to the glorious Penny Arcade Expo! I'm currently going to school for Media Arts & Animation.
Harpy PMS: How did you find the PMS Clan and when did you join?
PMS Sissy: Virtually all female gamers have had to endure a monotonous stream of negativity on Xbox Live. I had become numb to the constant harassment, and what was once an outlet for my frustrations turned into a frustration in itself. I've been a gamer my whole life (like most gamers) and to suddenly be treated as if I were an outsider due to my gender was bizarre. So I searched the web for a gaming community where you could compete and have fun without the constant nuisance of ignorant comments. I joined the Xbox CoD 4 division about four years ago and I finally regained that much needed outlet I yearned.
Harpy PMS: What is your favorite thing about being apart of PMS?
PMS Sissy: All the incredible experiences, opportunities and friends that I've gained from joining this community and the positive impact it has had on my life. For a good portion of life I've had to deal with severe Social Anxiety. The PMS clan forced me to step out of my comfort zone and interact with many different people. It's as if I'm in control of my life for once, and i'm truly grateful for it.
Harpy PMS: How did you become 'PMS Sissy'?
PMS Sissy: My parents planned on naming me Sissy but decided to change it to Elisabeth last minute. They assumed I would be made fun of for the name, little did they know I was relentlessly bullied anyway! (No worries, it gave me thick skin.) Basically, I chose Sissy because it's the name my whole family calls me. When I get heated, my family calls me "Pissy Sissy." It used to make me angry when they called me that but then I eventually embraced it and even made it my Gamertag for a year…until it got banned.
Harpy PMS: Can you give us a little background on your gaming history?
PMS Sissy: I started on the NES with games like Super Mario Bros., Duckhunt, Rad Racer, Top Gun, Paperboy and many more. It was tough life, though, trying to share a console with two older sisters…that are exceedingly stronger than you. They. were. MERCILESS. Needless to say, I was always Luigi. …not that theeeere's anything wrong with that. I continued on to SNES, Sega Genesis 2, GameBoy, N64, Playstation, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox and Xbox 360. My sisters introduced me to Halo and proceeded to beat me to a pulp every single match for a good two years. They were excellent players and I vowed one day I would beat them as badly as they beat me. And I'm still waiting for a re-match. My favorite games as of late are Mass Effect, Bioshock, Borderlands, Fallout, Saints Row, Grand Theft Auto, Battlefield and CoD. When it comes to PC gaming, the only game I really played was Myst. I would like to begin playing on the PC, I just don't know where to start!
Harpy PMS: Sissy, what would you say is your number one favorite video game?
PMS Sissy: I'd have to say Super Ghouls N' Ghosts but Super Mario Kart is a close second. I remember having weekends where my sisters and I would time ourselves to see who could beat Super Ghouls N' Ghosts the fastest. And, yes, that includes having to go back for the Princesses bracelet!
Harpy PMS: I know you are a big fan of Call of Duty. If you had to pick one CoD as your all time favorite, which one would it be and why?
PMS Sissy: Call of Duty 4, hand's down. Apart from the the excellent single-player campaign and the awesome multiplayer maps I think it all comes down to it's simplicity. I loved how CoD 4 had only three killstreaks, it was far less complicated.
Harpy PMS: I know you were a part of Friday Night Fights recently for PMS. Can you briefly tell us what that was like?
PMS Sissy: It was, without a doubt, one the most incredible experiences of my life. I felt like I was in a dream, the whole time, wondering how I got there. I was thrilled to be able to meet my team (Lady Eve, Lady V and Tempest) in person. To have practiced with them for so long and then finally get to meet them was the best part by far. My parents were beside themselves to learn that I didn't let my anxiety get in the way of this great opportunity. I just kept on telling myself to relax and have fun, which I did. I grew so much from that experience and will treasure it for the rest of my life.
Harpy PMS: Would you like to give any shout outs?
PMS Sissy: Of course! I would like to make a shout out to Athena PMS and Athena Twin PMS for creating such a wonderful gaming community. To CeeCee PMS for the advice and being there for my team before Friday Night Fights. To all of the Generals, leaders, managers, and practice captains that keep this clan working. I'm pretty sure you all are robots due to the fact you can work out being in school, having jobs, and children all while running this clan…it's pretty amazing what you do. I also want to give a shout out to my big sissies, PMS Delirium and PMS Gore Kitten, my little sissies…YOU Harpy PMS and Lady Eve PMS!! And lastly, my Friday Night Fight's team; Lady Eve PMS, Lady V and PMS Tempest…I love you guys so much!!
Harpy PMS: Can you give us five random facts about yourself that most people would not know?
1. I was born in Vienna, Austria.
2. I am a mother to an adopted four-year-old African Grey Parrot named Apollo. If I had my way, I would have named him Bitey.
3. I pitched for a fast-pitch softball team and we were fourth in the nation.
4. I'm terrified of large puppets. They are abominations and should be destroyed.
5. If I had my own studio space I would be sculpting stone non-stop.
