Get to know our PMS NA Call of Duty 360 Leader, Lady Eve PMS

Harpy PMS: Lady Eve! How are things? Thanks for allowing us to spotlight you!
Lady Eve PMS: Hi Harpy! Thank you! I am still shocked, but extremely flattered I was chosen for a spotlight.

Harpy PMS: Tell us a little about about your gaming history?
Lady Eve PMS: Well… once upon a time, when I was 4, I played Bubble Bobble with my older brothers on the NES. That was the day I officially started my life-long relationship with video games. My interest in games grew as I did. Over the years, I’ve played numerous games on the SNES, Atari Jaguar, N64, Gamecube, Gameboy, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PC. When I got my hands on Goldeneye, I fell in love with first-person shooters. But it wasn’t until Halo 2 that I realized I had the potential to play video games competitively. Besides the games mentioned, some of my favorites include Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Pokemon Stadium, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, The Sims, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Mass Effect.

Harpy PMS: What is your favorite video game of all time and why?
Lady Eve PMS: Halo 2! I practically worshiped Halo 2 and Master Chief. For two consecutive summers, I spent a good chunk of my days playing it. I even almost changed my gamertag to MasterChiefess. Besides the battle rifle, sticky grenades, and warthog racing, I think what really got me hooked on the game was the online multiplayer. The ability to play with and against what seemed like an unlimited number of “real people” instead of “the computer” meant experiences that varied day by day, and I could finally compare my skill to those of other gamers around the world. Not to mention, I discovered the PMS clan while playing Halo 2 and recruited into the PMS Halo 2 division.

Harpy PMS: Give us a rundown of your time with PMS!
Lady Eve PMS: Sure. While playing Halo 2, I matched up with some PMS ladies in a game of Big Team Battle CTF on Zanzibar. As a result, in May of 2005, I started my PMS career in the short-lived PMS Juniors division, which was for girls ages 15 and under -- if I remember correctly. I was also a member of a few of the other Halo 2 divisions, including PMS A1pha, Bravo, and De1ta. I miss those days! I have so many fond memories of participating in clan battles and having fun in practices.

In 2010, I joined the PMS NA Call of Duty 360 division and I have not missed a week of practice since. I am grateful that I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to give back to this clan as a Practice Captain, Practice Co-Manager, Practice Manager, Division Co-Leader, and Division Leader. As the current Division Leader, I would just like to say that we are always looking for more awesome additions to our division… and we have lots of chocolate-chip cookies.

Harpy PMS: In what ways would you say PMS shaped your personal and gaming life?
Lady Eve PMS: From the beginning, PMS has been my 2nd home and a safe haven from the sometimes unfriendly and abusive online gaming environment. And, whenever I needed help, advice, or a good listener, my clan sisters were always there for me 100%.

Harpy PMS: Recently, you competed for the clan on Friday Night Fights. Can you briefly explain what it is and how you did?
Lady Eve PMS: Of course. Friday Night Fights is a Call of Duty web series made by Activision. In each episode, two teams compete against one another in Modern Warfare 3 for a victory belt and bragging rights. Season 1 and 2 had themed rivalries, such as rappers vs. rockers and cops vs. firefighters. Season 3 was set up to be more like a tournament for 8 professional teams. I was honored to be part of the PMS team. We did pretty well. We won our first match, but lost our second/semi-final match.

EDITOR'S NOTE: You can read an interview with all the Friday Night Fights ladies, HERE.

Harpy PMS: What are your personal career goals in regards to gaming?
Lady Eve PMS: Simply put, I hope to one day play video games for a living.

Harpy PMS: We all know you're pretty amazing at Call of Duty, what is your favorite map on any Call of Duty title.
Lady Eve PMS: Jungle. It is perfect for the chopper gunner or dogs killstreaks.

Harpy PMS: What is your favorite killstreak and perk in the game and why?
Lady Eve PMS: Dogs, no doubt. The dogs enter the map from every direction, usually kill multiple enemies, and there is no perk you can use to hide from them. As I like to say, there’s a puppy for everyone. My favorite perk is either Ghost Pro or Hacker Pro. I love to sneak up on or flank my enemies without worrying about enemy air support or sentry guns. However, I also enjoy running around with Hacker Pro because it means I can see if a claymore is hiding around the next corner. I can also sabotage enemy care packages and then watch my enemies explode.

Harpy PMS: If you could pick one place in the world to visit, where would it be and why?
Lady Eve PMS: Hogwarts. Who doesn’t want to go there? I know I probably sound ridiculous, but I like to think of myself as the muggle Hermione and I’m still waiting for my acceptance letter to arrive by owl.

Harpy PMS: Give us 5 random facts that most people do not know about you!
Lady Eve PMS:
1. I am 3/8 Native Hawaiian.
2. I can’t stand the taste of coffee.
3. I always wanted to be a competitor on Legends of the Hidden Temple.
4. When I play Super Smash Bros., I always choose to play as Jigglypuff.
5. I quote movies constantly and I expect others to recognize my movie references.
