H2O Mystakin: Tell us a bit about yourself.
PMS buckeye_chick: Well I'm from Ohio and I am two weeks shy of 33. I'm a stay at home mother ( for now ) of a nine year-old son. I'm currently one of the North America PS3 generals.
H2O Mystakin: What's it like being the NA PS3 General?
PMS buckeye_chick: Well It's a lot like being a division leader, just on a larger scale. Most clan members don't realize how much work actually goes on behind the scenes. From paperwork to meetings, decision making, meetings, late night phone calls, meetings, PM's, oh did I mention meetings?! I feel honored to be in the position I am. We generals work hard to do the best for, and make the right decisions for, the platforms & clan. A lot of times placing the clan before our selves.
We try to be fair in any decision made and sit in meeting for hours if we have to make sure we are making the right choices. Due to the size of the NA PS3 platform I get to meet most of our members, which I think helps gain their respect. Its not a Wizard of Oz type of thing where the (Wo)man behind the curtain is calling all of the shots. Our platform members see me and we get to know each other. They can see that we actually do care about what we do, which is awesome.
H2O Mystakin: What brought you to PMS Clan initially?
PMS buckeye_chick: Well thats a long story, so bare with me! I was actually asked to join PMS( pimpettes) back in 2003 on socom 2 before the merger. At that time I lead my own clan and respectfully declined. I kept in touch on and off with a couple of the members. Then one day in '05 on socom 3, Sallygirl and PerfectDark came into a game I was playing and tried to get me to join again. I was like "No I have my own clan, but you can add me to your friends list." A couple months later I was reading Entertainment magazine and saw the article they did on PMS and I remember it being the deciding factor. I respected what the clan was trying to do in breaking down the barriers that we as women face in the gaming community. If you haven't read that article you should google it and read it.
About a month later, I was talking to Sally who, at the time, was hounding me to join every time she seen me online. I asked if she knew about the magazine and she said yeah. I was like "Ok, I'll join. What do I need to do?" I offically joined November 5th, 2005..
H2O Mystakin: What were some of your favorite games growing up?
PMS buckeye_chick: Well, I have been gaming as long as I can remember. I actually still have all of my systems and games from the Odyssey all the way up to PS3. My favorites, though, would have to be Hero, Q*bert, Pitfall on Atari, Mike Tyson's Punchout, Blades of Steel on NES, Mortal Kombat series, Cool Borders, Resident Evil PS1, Socom, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, and RE: Code Veronica on PS2.
H2O Mystakin: How did you come up with your handle, PMS buckeye_chick?
PMS buckeye_chick: Well when I joined PMS, my original gamertag was Gepetto -- you know, pinocchio's creator. I may or may not have stolen that from my fiance. *cough* *cough* However, I was getting tired of all the people on the interwebs not being able to pronounce my tag. They would call me ghetto or ghetto P and thought I was a prepubescent 10 year-old boy. So I figured that while joining an all female clan, I should have a GT that reflected my gender.
As soon as people figured out I was a girl they would always ask where I was from, so I figured I would make a GT that would answer their questions. Buckeye ( another name for a person from Ohio ) and chick, well, I think you get the idea. The only thing I didn't plan on was there were actually still people in this world who can't read. I still get called Buckee from randoms all the time.
H2O Mystakin: Do you have any shoutouts?
PMS buckeye_chick: Yes, I do have some shout outs! First I would like to thank the twins and founders of PMS for having the idea to start such an amazing clan. I would like to thank Sallygirl for never giving up on me, even though I told her multiple times I wouldn't join. Hatemaker for being my rock for so many years. Bchick for everything she did for the Socom division, HappyHaze & Girlufear for all the awesome late night chats. Wingclipper for allowing his house to be full of PMS members who stayed up way too late and listened to loud music when he had to get up for work in the morning. Vamp for being, well, vamp, an awesome friend and co-general. Kitteh for teaching me everything I know about being a general. The ghost who grabbed Blue Roses behind at the haunted house and blamed it on me. Midnightskye for doing her homework. All of my fellow general and leaders for putting in so much work to make sure the clan runs smoothly. All of the PS3 division members past and present because if it wasn't for all of you there would be no PMS or H2O.
If I forgot to mention anyone by name I am sorry. It doesn't mean you don't have a special place in my heart but this shout out list was getting a little long.
H2O Mystakin: As a wrap-up, could you give us 5 surprising facts people may not know about you? Being an Ohio State fan doesn't count!
PMS buckeye_chick: Darn, but who would have figured out I like ohio state! Haha
1. At one of my jobs, I built fully armored vehicles for the US military & Isreal.
2. When I was 13, I was invited to go to nationals for karate and try out for the US Olympic team.

4. My grandmother was born and raised in Michigan... Shhh, don't tell anyone!
